Does Discord support glitch text?

Yes. Discord renders Unicode combining marks normally in messages, server nicknames, and custom status text.

Discord messages accept standard Unicode text at any intensity — there's no special handling that strips or blocks combining marks in chat.

Server nicknames are more constrained: they're capped at 32 characters, counted by Unicode code point rather than visible letter. Since each combining mark counts as its own character, a heavily glitched nickname can hit that ceiling after just a handful of visible letters.

For nicknames specifically, keep intensity low — see the Discord-tuned glitch text generator, which defaults to a lighter preset for exactly this reason.
